My Process

Step 1: Getting to know you

Before I commit ink to paper, I want to get to know you. What do you value? What are your goals? For whom are you planning? What is your current stage of life? Understanding what is most important to you is the essential first step in helping you create an estate plan that not only meets your needs, but also accomplishes your goals.

Step 2: Creating Your Estate Plan

After getting to know you, you and I will work together to create an estate plan that does what you want it to do. I will give you my best advice on how best to accomplish your goals, providing you with options that allow you to create the plan that you want for yourself and your loved ones. I will discuss various documents, such as trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, that will be the essential part of your estate plan. You will choose the documents and document features that best suit you.

Step 3: Putting Your Plan into Action

Once I create your estate plan, I will create the documents for you. I will provide everything you need to sign the documents and make them official. You and I will work together to make sure that your assets are arranged in a way that works with your estate plan.

Step 4:  All the “Next” Steps

Once your estate plan is complete, I’m still here for you. If your plans change, I can help you adjust your estate plan. If your stage of life changes, I can help with that too. I even monitor changes in the law, and I will alert you to any changes that could affect you. My team and I are with you every step of the way.

    About Me

I am an attorney in Rock County, Wisconsin. I began my legal career helping individuals, companies, and municipalities with court disputes. I began developing my estate planning practice when I joined Nowlan Law. Before my legal career, I worked as a pastor. The ability to listen closely and communicate effectively are a few of the skills I learned working in churches that I regularly employ in my law practice. Today, I devote a substantial portion of my time to my estate planning practice, but I still help my clients with their litigation needs. I am a partner at Nowlan Law, a vibrant, full-service law firm. If you have a legal need in which I do not have expertise, I’m confident that a member of my Nowlan team will be able to advise you.

When I am not hard at work, you can find me spending time with my family, coaching a youth sports team, spending time outdoors, or just playing my guitar.
